Mischa Barton
Barton is a theater actor as well as film and television. She is British-American. At the Lincoln Center in New York City she performed her theatrical debut in Tony Kushner's Slavs! James Lapine's Twelve Dreams was her first character. Her first acting experience was a 1996 cameo appearance on All My Children. In the Nickelodeon show, KaBlam!, she also played the role of a character. She worked in television in 1996 through 1997. In 1996, she was the main character for the famous drama Lawn Dogs (1997) alongside Sam Rockwell, marking her debut performance as an actor. She made notable film appearances in films including M. Night Shyamalan's psychological drama The Sixth Sense (1999) as well as the love story Notting Hill (1999). Also, in 1999 she appeared as a character in the independent crime thriller Pups. Then, Barton acted as Evan Rachel Wood's girlfriend on ABC's Once and Again (2001) and the independent show Lost and Delirious (2001). As a character on Marissa Cooper on the Fox Television series The O.C. in 2003-2006 her performance was recognized with two Teen Choice Awards. Barton was voted the "It girl of 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played the character. Barton has been acting since in the comedic St Trinian's, the drama Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring. She was also in the film Closing the Ring which was produced by Richard Attenborough.
