Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the lead actor in Stephen's famed 1973 musical "Pippin" on Broadway. Diane Paulus won the Tony Award in the 67th Annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin", a musical starring Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well, was directed by Diane Paulus. Patina successfully put a contemporary spin on the role created by award-winning actor and actress Ben Vereen. She was able to master the Fosse movements that the show is based on so much. Patina was awarded a Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress playing an Leading Role within a Musical and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical and also Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for her performances. In December 2012 through December 2012, she was the role of the Lead Player in the American Repertory Theater's production Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
